People & Projects

“Emily sensitively and positively empowers everyone to enjoy the dance experience”  Jenny Cleverley, Workshop Participant

Emily’s community & youth based work engages various people from primary through to mature dancers. The projects she works on often bring together professional artist’s and members of the local community with no previous dance experience to enjoy making, rehearsing and performing something unique together.

She leads workshops, choreographs and performs alongside these groups on independent commissions and with various companies and organisations in Cornwall and across the UK. Her work uses poetry, text, props and collaborations with visual artists, musicians, set and costume designers to create performance work for both theatre and site based venues.

Emily’s primary based work is physical, imaginative, creative and fun! The groups are often found upside down, flying through the air and bouncing up and down to energy fuelled music to stretch the creative and imaginary aspects of what is possible with younger dancers.
